Ramesses replica in place in Memphis, US

Daily Helmsman (Christina Holloway)

Trivia, but quite a nice story.

The statue of Ramesses the Great, which stood tall in front of the Pyramid for 13 years, is now greeting students on The University of Memphis campus.

The statue, a replica of the Ramesses the Great statue from Egypt, was placed on the edge of campus facing the Central parking lot Monday. Students took pictures of the statue as they walked past, and drivers took advantage of red lights, as they got a quick look of the new addition on campus.
